ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

As VP Growth you are an expert in sales, business development,  connections, networking, opening doors, winning, and closing new business for the agency. 

You will focus your energy and expertise on driving business growth through lead generation, research, networking, and outreach to potential clients, with a strong emphasis on developing and executing strategic sales plans. 

You are experienced in creating compelling presentations and pitches and can identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities. You will ensure client satisfaction by developing growth strategies that balance financial goals with customer needs.

We are looking for your financial foresight, strong and effective project management, goal-driven approach, proficiency in using KPIs to track progress and fine-tune tactics and approach. 

You will manage client relationships, stay informed of market trends, monitor competitor activity, negotiate contracts, and collaborate with internal teams to identify and deliver tailored solutions.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Generate leads, identify and target potential clients, and develop intelligent strategies to enhance the profile and reputation of the agency and win new business 

  • Leverage and build on strategic sales plans with tactics and ideas that will allow you to achieve monthly & annual targets and overall business goals.

  • Create, prepare, and present compelling pitches, strategies, and decks to new client targets. 

  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities for cross-selling and upselling additional services to new or existing clients.

  • Have financial foresight of your sales pipeline and report weekly on potential leads.

  • Utilize strong project and financial management skills to ensure successful implementation of business development initiatives.

  • Use KPIs to continually evaluate your success based on those criteria. 

  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, addressing pricing, terms, and conditions in line with agency guidelines

  • Employ skillful and tactful influence techniques to find solutions, manage client relationships, and achieve positive outcomes.

  • Familiarity with Hubspot to track and report on sales activities, pipeline status, and performance metrics.

  • Build, maintain and nurture strong relationships with clients through regular check-ins and follow-ups, ensuring ongoing customer satisfaction.

  • Work closely with the marketing, creative, and account management teams to develop customized solutions for clients. 

  • Adaptability to work on special projects with Partners or with VPs/  Directors across markets
    Analyze sales data & conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends. 

  • Deepen your expertise and presence by attending and taking part in a number of events and associations, hosting and collaborating with value-driven agency events and profile-building opportunities.

  • Provide valuable feedback to the company regarding market trends, customer feedback and other factors influencing sales and business development.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Post-secondary degree, ideally in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.

  • 8+ years of industry expertise with an in-depth understanding of sales and growth - bonus if you are connected to the agency landscape 

  • Strong personal motivation to deliver value and show up with your best foot forward as a trusted partner to both clients and your colleagues

  • Business acumen, and a love for business and helping them grow

  • High attention to detail and strong accountability and proactivity

  • The ability to intuitively judge the best use of your time while juggling multiple based on competing tasks and demands of the business.

  • Provide value to clients by bringing innovative and creative thinking in solving problems for the brand.

  • Capable of delivering accurate results in a fast-paced and dynamic atmosphere.

  • Proficient in technology including:  Hubspot, Slack, Google suite - specifically Google Slides

WORK MODEL

You will be based in the Toronto office with an option for some hybrid work.

Due to the nature of business, you may be required to travel to the US and western Canada from time to time.

COMPENSATION
Base salary negotiation on experience and budgeted in the $125,000 - $150,000 range.

5% uncapped commission on net new business wins.


After three months:

  • Enrolment in an extended health, vision/dental plan.
